Sep 21, 2018 · Placing the key fob inside the center console, on the bottom, on top of the image of the fob, will allow the car to start even if the battery inside the fob has discharged. It uses a radio frequency method to identify the fob. This process will NOT recharge the battery in the fob. The battery in the fob is a 3V battery.

Apr 5, 2018 · As Cue2 says, do a search, you'll find my posts, and others, mine explain and show the gear position sensor and how it can be changed. If it doesn't know position of the gear it inhibits other systems to prevent further problems
Aug 3, 2012 · I find stop-start excellent, mine has never once not kicked in when it should (air con on very cold, rear window demister on etc being things to stop it). I reckon I spend up to 10 minutes sitting idle in traffic each journey to work, overall it will be making a significant fuel saving.

This will then disable DNA & SS as a consequence. You can buy MultiECUScan and an adaptor cable and do it yourself or take it to an Alfa indie.

Feb 7, 2019 · For the past 2 days I haven't disabled it and it hasn't stopped while the car isn't moving. Even with the heater off , wipers off, radio off, it doesn't stop start anymore. No error codes. I will call next week to see what the dealer has to say. This is only the second issue with the car.

Jan 20, 2015 · I have a problem with the engine light, the dna and the stop/start on a giulietta 170 diesel. The engine light would come on and, at the same time, the dna and the stop/start would stop working. At first it would only happen occasionally but now they are doing it all the time.
